PTM demands UN‑backed truth commission for missing Pashtuns

The conference, titled “Unmasking Pakistan’s Atrocities,” adopted a declaration that called for the creation of an independent Truth and Reconciliation Commission under United Nations oversight. The document insists on locating missing persons, freeing those unlawfully detained, lifting sanctions imposed on PTM, and guaranteeing community control over land and natural resources.

Signatories included human‑rights activists, scholars and members of the Pashtun diaspora. They pledged to present documented evidence of Pakistan’s alleged war crimes at every international forum.

The declaration seeks to translate the PTM’s grassroots grievances into a formal, internationally monitored process.
