Prime Minister Modi Emphasises ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ in Historic Indonesia Speech
Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a historic address to the Indonesian Parliament, calling for deeper ties rooted in shared cultural and democratic values. He declared that India’s guiding principle is development, not expansion, and that the slogan "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas" drives its global vision.
The leader expressed sincere gratitude to the Indonesian legislators and the public, extending wishes from the entire Indian citizenry of more than 140 crore individuals.
Receiving the nation’s top civilian accolade, Modi described it as recognition of Indonesia’s affection for India, the common democratic ethos, and the escalating cooperation between the two states.
He reminded the audience that the two capitals, though separated by great distance, are linked by a short sea stretch of roughly 150 km, which has long served as a conduit for cultural exchange and future partnership.
