PM Modi acknowledges global goodwill on silver jubilee of his chief ministership

Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated 25 years of uninterrupted service as a chief executive, beginning with his appointment as Gujarat’s chief minister on 7 October 2001 and culminating in his prime‑ministership since 2014. In a series of X posts, he thanked various world leaders for their congratulatory messages.

He began with Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, calling the two nations “close partners” and promising to further strengthen the strategic alliance for a more inclusive and peaceful world order.

Dominica’s Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit was thanked for his thoughtful words, with Modi noting the importance India places on its unbreakable friendship with the Caribbean island.

Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever’s wishes were met with enthusiasm, as the prime minister expressed eagerness to boost the positive momentum in India‑Belgium cooperation.

The Indian leader also thanked Philippine President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., reaffirming the significance of the India‑Philippines strategic partnership and a desire to deepen it.

A message of gratitude was sent to Bhutan’s Prime Minister Sherling Tobgay, highlighting a “permanent partnership” based on mutual trust.

Finally, Botswana’s President received Modi’s acknowledgment and a pledge to reinforce the close ties between the two countries.
