The Baloch Women Forum’s central organizer, Shali Baloch, warned that a series of forced disappearances has unfolded across Balochistan over the past week, affecting several young scholars and activists. She described the trend as an intensified crackdown on Baloch students and graduates, designed to weaken political consciousness and suppress dissent. On social media platform X, Shali wrote that targeting Baloch students and graduates is an effort to erode political awareness and intimidate opposition voices. BVJ and other civil‑society groups have called on the United Nations and international human‑rights bodies to investigate the missing youths, secure their safe release, and hold Pakistan accountable for its human‑rights obligations.
