Party Leadership Reviews Progress and Gaps in Inspections

Beijing, October 23: The Politburo of the CPC Central Committee convened a meeting on October 23 to examine in detail the outcomes of the seventh inspection round by the 20th Central Committee. The session was presided over by General Secretary Xi Jinping.

The meeting described the inspection round as successful, attributing the results to the strong leadership of the Central Committee, which is centred on Xi Jinping. The findings indicated that both central and state agencies had made active progress. At the same time, the meeting noted that a few problems persist and need serious and focused attention to be resolved.

The leadership urged central and state agencies to steadily enhance their political judgement, their understanding of political priorities and their capacity to put policies into practice. Doing so, the meeting said, will ensure the firm implementation of the key decisions taken by the Party Central Committee.
