Party Calls for Unified Effort of Returned and Living Overseas Chinese

Beijing, July 28 – The Chinese Communist Party called for a unified campaign that brings together both returned overseas Chinese and those still living abroad. President Xi Jinping highlighted that the Party’s overseas Chinese affairs units have successfully coordinated the diaspora’s contributions to national development.

He urged that the new campaign operate under the guidance of socialism with Chinese characteristics, applying the Party’s overseas Chinese policy in a comprehensive manner. The goal is to concentrate the diaspora’s strength, enhance cultural exchange, and boost collaborative projects between China and other countries.

The message was delivered during the National Conference on Overseas Chinese Affairs, emphasizing that a coordinated, nationwide effort is essential for achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
