According to the information, the incident took place in the under -construction part of Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) in Nagarakurnul district of Telangana near Domalpenta of Amarabad division at around 8.30 am on Saturday morning. The three meter part of the under construction SLBC tunnel collapsed, causing 50 laborers working there to get stuck in the tunnel. Although 43 laborers were successful in getting safe from there, 7 laborers got stuck inside.

CM grief on accident
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has expressed grief over the accident in the SLBC tunnel and directed the officials to give priority to rescue operations. Telangana CMO issued a statement regarding the accident saying, “The Chief Minister alerted the officials as soon as the tunnel was reported to fall.” Some people have been injured in this incident.
