Key Areas of Discussion During Paparo’s India Trip Include Digital Warfare and Energy Security

Admiral Paparo’s meetings in India will centre on four priority themes: digital change and the use of new technologies in defence, preserving strategic stability across the region, bolstering energy resilience for military operations, and navigating the intensifying competition in high‑tech domains.

In Hyderabad, the admiral toured the Western Command headquarters of the Indian Army, joining Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Kataria for an operational briefing that highlighted joint planning capabilities. Later, in Bengaluru, he visited the National Flight Test Centre, observing innovations in aerospace and the HAL Tejas programme.

These engagements are designed to cement a technology partnership that accelerates joint development, testing and fielding of next‑generation systems, reinforcing the broader Indo‑US defence architecture.
