Rahul Gandhi mentioned that India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru taught him to face fear instead of politics and commit to truth. Nehru taught how to oppose atrocities and how important it is to stand with the truth. The Congress leader also said that ‘discovery of truth’ is his biggest legacy, which is going on from generation to generation in his family. Motilal Nehru, Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi all saw politics as a discovery of truth, not only for position or popularity.

It is simple in politics that only those who want to listen to the same things, but their soul does not allow to do so. They cannot lie, even if it is harmful to them. Comparing the ideas of Mahatma Gandhi and Nehru, he said that Gandhiji used to go in his inner depth, while Nehru ji tried to understand the outside world and future. Both thoughts were deep, but there was a difference in their way of thinking.
