Padma Lakshmi’s Journey: Modeling, Cooking Shows and Activism

A former theater graduate turned international supermodel, Padma Lakshmi has built a multifaceted career that bridges fashion, food and social advocacy. After walking for iconic designers such as Helmut Newton, Giorgio Armani and Ralph Lauren, she entered the culinary arena by hosting the reality series "Top Chef" for nearly two decades, a role that garnered nine Emmy nominations.
