Operation Hard Ball Targets Organized Crime Figure Goldy Barad

Washington, July 8 – In a statement released on the social platform X, the Federal Bureau of Investigation detailed the latest phase of “Operation Hard Ball,” which zeroes in on Goldy Barad, the alias of Satinderjeet Singh. The FBI has classified Barad as a senior lieutenant of the Lawrence Bishnoi syndicate, responsible for overseeing criminal activities throughout North America.

The bureau’s notice emphasizes a reward of up to $50,000 for any tip that directly contributes to Barad’s arrest. Allegations against the Bishnoi organization include a litany of violent crimes: political and religious assassinations, armed assaults, kidnappings, systematic extortion, and the trafficking of narcotics and firearms.

Investigators say Barad’s operational base is believed to be in California’s Sacramento and Fresno counties, with additional connections reported in Canada, India and Mexico. The network’s reach, according to the FBI, extends to coordinated attacks on Sikh places of worship and other high‑profile targets.

The reward announcement follows a recent indictment that accuses Barad and Lawrence Bishnoi of masterminding the June 2023 murder of Harmeet Singh Nijjar, a Khalistani separatist, in Surrey, British Columbia. Prosecutors allege that the duo plotted the killing from prison cells, using intermediaries to convey orders to the gunmen.

The FBI calls on the public to provide any reliable intelligence on Barad’s whereabouts, stressing that the information could be pivotal in dismantling the broader criminal enterprise.
