Norway Sees Strengthening Ties with India on Climate and Fisheries

In a statement released on the ministry’s official X channel, officials noted that the meeting reinforced the resolve of both governments to build on the existing Green Strategic Partnership. They pointed to recent remarks by Norway’s ambassador Me‑Elin Stener, who praised the growing India‑Norway relationship and the shared commitment to democratic values and a rules‑based international order. The ambassador recalled the Oslo Nordic‑India summit where Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre highlighted the partnership’s foundation on common principles.
