First change- No tax on income up to Rs 12.75 lakh
In the new financial year starting from April 1, the salaries will not have to pay any tax on income up to Rs 12.75 lakh. The government has announced no tax on income up to Rs 12 lakh of all taxpayers who opt for the new tax system from FY 2025-26. The salaries will get the benefit of additional standard deduction of Rs 75 thousand.

New tax system
The new tax system for kardas is also applying from April 1, 2025. In this tax system presented in the budget of February 1, the number of slabs and income limit has been increased. From today, the 19 kg commercial cylinder has become cheaper by ₹ 44.50. Its price in Delhi declined by ₹ 41 to ₹ 1762. Earlier it was available in ₹ 1803. In Kolkata, it is getting down ₹ 44.50 to ₹ 1868.50, earlier its price was ₹ 1913. The cylinder in Mumbai has come down from ₹ 1755.50 to ₹ 42 to ₹ 1713.50. Cylinder is getting ₹ 1921.50 in Chennai. Eighth change- UPS starts
With the introduction of the new tax year, the Unified Pension Scheme that gives guaranteed pension to central employees is going to be started from April 1.
