CORONA UPDATE: Corona cases are continuously increasing in the country. In Chhattisgarh also, the number of active cases has increased to 19 with 5 patients found today. Covid 19 has knocked in Delhi also. The first case of JN.1 was reported here on Wednesday. Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said that the first case of sub-variant JN.1 of Covid 19 has been reported in Delhi. Of the 3 samples sent for genome sequencing, one JN.1 variant and Omicron variant were found in two samples.

The number of cases of JN.1 variant has increased to 110 across the country. Before Delhi, cases of JN.1 have already been reported in 8 states. These states include Gujarat, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, Kerala, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. Maximum 36 cases of JN.1 variant have been reported from Gujarat, while 34 cases have been confirmed in Karnataka. Most of the patients affected by the new variant have been kept in home isolation.
