New Trade Agreement with America Aims to Diversify India's Market Access

Jayashankar pointed out that earlier free‑trade agreements focused mainly on ASEAN nations, Japan and South Korea. He argued that India now needs to shift towards more transparent and mature economies with higher consumer spending. By doing so, the country can reduce reliance on a narrow set of partners and open up new avenues for growth in sectors ranging from technology to agriculture.
