New PTA Projects Worth ₹332 Crore Approved in Bhutan During High‑Level Talks

During the fifth India‑Bhutan development cooperation talks, officials from both countries sanctioned twelve fresh PTA initiatives with a combined outlay of ₹332 million (₹332 crore). The projects target critical sectors such as road and bridge construction, rural health centres, modern farming facilities, urban sanitation and flood‑resilient infrastructure. In addition, the Indian government released further funds: ₹1,250 crore for the Economic Stimulus Programme, ₹735.20 crore for High‑Impact Community Development Projects and ₹200 crore as grant assistance. Both parties reviewed the utilisation of these resources and reaffirmed commitment to Bhutan’s Royal Government development agenda, which aligns with the shared vision of the Bhutanese King and India’s Prime Minister.
