New Delhi talks aim to expand partnership across multilateral platforms

The external affairs ministries of India and Ireland convened in New Delhi on Tuesday, with Minister S. Jaishankar and his Irish counterpart Helen McEntee focusing on a comprehensive partnership agenda. While celebrating Ireland’s upcoming EU Council presidency, the dialogue covered trade expansion, educational exchanges, health sector collaboration and the strengthening of people‑to‑people connections.
Both ministers pledged to coordinate positions on climate action, security challenges and trade rules within the World Trade Organization and other global bodies, signalling a proactive approach to multilateral diplomacy.
