All airports in Nepal, including Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, have been closed until Wednesday at noon due to ongoing protests. Flights were suspended from Tuesday at 2 PM due to escalating unrest, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded. The decision to reopen the airports will be made after assessing the security situation at Tribhuvan International Airport. The Nepali army has taken command inside and outside the airport, however, the safety of aircraft and passengers remains a serious concern.
