National Seismology Centre Reports Four Tremors Within Two Hours

The National Seismology Centre posted detailed data on its social media channel, highlighting four separate seismic incidents that occurred over a span of less than two hours on July 31. The events were logged with exact timestamps, geographic coordinates, magnitudes, and focal depths, providing a comprehensive snapshot for researchers and the public.

The most intense quake, a magnitude 4.5, struck China at 01:44:06 IST from a depth of 10 kilometres. Earlier, a magnitude 4.2 tremor shook Tibet at 00:50:07 IST with a depth of 90 kilometres, while a 3.4 magnitude shock hit Nepal at 01:18:42 IST from 15 kilometres deep. A prior 4.3 magnitude event was recorded in Tibet at 23:25:39 IST the previous night, originating 130 kilometres below ground.

All recorded tremors were relatively moderate, and no immediate reports of injuries or large‑scale damage have surfaced. Local authorities have not issued any special alerts, and the Centre urged the public to install the official earthquake application for real‑time updates.
