Multiple former Syrian officials receive capital punishment for crimes against humanity

The sentencing list also includes seven additional figures: Ali al‑Ali, Maher Hafiz al‑Assad, Fahad Jassim al‑Freij, Mohammed Ayman Ayous, Kuse Ibrahim Mahyoub, Wafiq Saleh Nasser and Talal Faris al‑Ayasami. All were ordered to death for their roles in systematic violations, including illegal detention, torture, and pre‑meditated murder of opposition members.
