Multiple Attacks on Security Convoys Across Balochistan Districts

Balochistan has witnessed a series of attacks on security personnel and state-backed armed elements in the same week. Incidents were reported in Basima, Panjgur and Turbat, with local sources indicating significant disruption. No official casualty figures have been issued by authorities.

In Basima, armed attackers reportedly ambushed a convoy of security forces near the Sajid area on Tuesday. Reports say personnel were killed or wounded and two vehicles were badly damaged. The clash continued for more than two hours, and helicopters were later deployed to support the troops.

On Wednesday, a convoy of three vehicles was targeted in the Gwargo area of Panjgur. Officials have not released any information on casualties from this attack.

Early Friday, gunmen in the Nodooz area of Turbat reportedly targeted members of alleged death squads that are said to be backed by the Pakistani army. Gunfire was heard in the area for a prolonged period. No information about casualties from this incident has emerged.

The alleged death squads are reported to include members linked to the army and intelligence agencies, and they were also among the targets of the attacks this week.

No armed group has claimed responsibility for these incidents. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has previously claimed drone attacks on Pakistani military sites in Balochistan, and it had announced its aerial wing, QAHR (Qazi Aero Hive Rangers), earlier this year. The overall security situation in the province remains a matter of concern.
