Prime Minister Modi Emphasizes Actionable Outcomes at BRICS Delhi Declaration

New Delhi, September 13 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi used the closing remarks of the 18th BRICS summit to underline the need for concrete implementation of the Delhi Declaration. He described the summit’s decisions as a “solution ecosystem” rather than a mere collection of nations.

Modi urged all member and partner countries to translate the summit’s commitments into time‑bound actions, focusing on resilience, innovation, cooperation and sustainability. He highlighted that BRICS is entering its third decade and the world now expects tangible results, not just diplomatic rhetoric.

The prime minister thanked the leaders for their active participation and praised the depth and breadth of the discussions, which covered everything from climate change to digital innovation. He also extended goodwill wishes to China, the next host of the BRICS summit, and expressed gratitude to all delegations for making the Delhi summit a success.

The statements came after a series of bilateral meetings, including those between Foreign Minister S. Jayashankar and ministers from China, Iran, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Russia and Saudi Arabia. These engagements reinforced the summit’s broader agenda of strengthening regional ties while addressing global challenges.
