Milwaukee G20 ministers adopt joint declaration on food security and trade ethics

The declaration, to be released later on the day of the meeting, emphasizes that agricultural goods must not be employed as leverage to extract political concessions. Greer noted that the issue was placed on the agenda because the manipulation of food trade can jeopardise livelihoods, distort competition and erode trust in worldwide commerce.
