Meloni vows to boost India‑Middle East‑Europe economic corridor

Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni reiterated her commitment to strengthening the India‑Middle East‑Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) during a statement on X. She said the corridor is a critical avenue for expanding trade routes, fostering investment, and enhancing connectivity between South Asia, the Middle East and Europe.

Meloni added that both governments will coordinate closely on regulatory alignment, logistics infrastructure, and financing mechanisms. She urged regional partners to join the effort, asserting that a vibrant corridor will generate jobs, spur innovation, and reinforce the strategic partnership that already links New Delhi and Rome.
