Deoghar. Thousands of devotees gathered to touch the Panchshul of Baba Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar, Jharkhand. As soon as the Panchshul was lowered from the roof of the temple, a crowd of people gathered to see and touch it.
In fact, before Mahashivratri in Baba Baidyanath temple, the Panchshul installed on the peak of Shiva-Mata Parvati temple is removed and cleaned. After this, on the next day, after ritually worshiping Panchshul, it is again installed on the top of the temple. Under a special tradition, the Panchshool installed on the top of the temple is brought down and then worshipped.
On Wednesday, when Panchshul was brought down from Baba Baidyanath temple in Deoghar, a crowd of devotees gathered in the temple premises to touch it. After cleaning the Panchshul which was taken down yesterday, it was offered in both the temples on Thursday after formal worship. When Panchshul was removed from the temple, the alliance puja in the temple stopped.
