Political Desk. Under the first phase of Lok Sabha Elections-2024, voting is going on on 102 seats in 21 states and union territories. According to the Election Commission, till 11 am a total of 25 percent voting has taken place. The highest turnout has been in West Bengal at 33.56%. In Tripura also, 33.28% people have cast their vote. The lowest voting was in Lakshadweep at 16.33%. Whereas in Maharashtra 19.17% people have voted.
World Smallest Woman: Jyoti, the world’s smallest woman, cast her vote, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis voted.
According to the Election Commission, there are more than 16.63 crore voters in the first phase. Of these, there are 8.4 crore male and 8.23 crore female voters. Of these, 35.67 lakh voters are those who will cast their vote for the first time. Whereas, the number of voters in the age group of 20 to 29 years is 3.51 crore. 1.87 lakh polling booths have been made for these.
