Lithuania hosts EU foreign policy chief as peace talks continue

Kaja Kallas met Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda on Monday, discussing the priorities for Lithuania’s upcoming EU Council presidency. Nausėda outlined a focus on European security, defence, EU enlargement, competitiveness, internal security and social resilience. Both leaders agreed that the forthcoming EU summit should reflect these themes while keeping an eye on the stalled trilateral negotiations involving the United States, Russia and Ukraine.
