Joint US‑ROK Marine Exercise Disrupted by Unauthorized Drone Flight

The first Marine Division of both the United States Marine Corps and the Republic of Korea Marine Corps were conducting bilateral training when a U.S. drone entered prohibited airspace near the northern border. The Joint Chiefs of Staff in South Korea confirmed the UAV belonged to U.S. forces and that collaborative assessment with U.S. Forces Korea is underway to determine how the breach occurred.
