Yogyakarta – In a symbolic ceremony at Prambanan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated a bilateral restoration and conservation project aimed at preserving the sprawling temple complex for future generations.
The project, funded jointly by India and Indonesia, will address structural repairs, stone conservation, and the installation of modern monitoring systems. Temple priests performed the traditional rites, offering blessings to the initiative and to the visiting dignitaries.
Both governments described the effort as a testament to their shared commitment to safeguarding cultural landmarks that transcend national boundaries.
