Japan Issues Level‑4 Landslide Warning Amid Dujuan’s Landfall

The JMA raised the alert level to 4 for landslide risk in several districts of Chiba Prefecture as Dujuan intensified. Local authorities reported water accumulation on roads and prompted emergency services to stand by.

In addition to the landslide warning, the agency warned of flash‑flooding in low‑lying areas and strong gusts that could reach nearly 200 km/h. Residents in vulnerable zones have been advised to move to higher ground and keep emergency kits ready.

The warning follows a similar event in August when Typhoon Chan‑Hom struck Ibaraki Prefecture, causing minor injuries to seven people across three prefectures.
