ITC Showcases Signature Brands Bukhara, Dum Pukht and More at BRICS Event

At the heart of the BRICS summit in New Delhi, ITC Hotels turned its kitchens into a showcase of the group’s most celebrated dining brands. From the aromatic grills of Bukhara to the slow‑cooked delicacies of Dum Pukht, the culinary team presented a menu designed to impress leaders, media personnel and delegations from across the BRICS nations.

Corporate chef Manisha explained that for the past 36 hours, the summit’s media centre has been serving dishes from Bukhara, Dum Pukht, Dakshin and the Kebabs & Curries collection. The intention is to let every participant experience the depth of Indian gastronomy.

Because the summit attracts an international audience, the menu was deliberately diversified. Alongside Indian classics, Chinese specialties and Western plates were prepared to meet the expectations of guests from Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa and beyond.

ITC’s participation follows previous catering duties at the G20 summit and the AI summit, marking a continued tradition of the group supporting India’s major diplomatic gatherings. Manisha expressed pride in being selected once again, noting the event’s significance for both the country and the hospitality brand.

With a footprint of approximately 140 hotels nationwide, ITC called upon its extensive network of culinary experts. Over one hundred master chefs were stationed at the venue, handling the intricate menu and ensuring seamless service throughout the summit.

Area chef Rajdeep Kapoor greeted attendees, urging them to relish the Indian flavours crafted for the occasion. ITC’s media liaison, Rajneesh Maller, emphasized that the food programme reflects the cultural mosaic of the BRICS countries while highlighting India’s finest comfort and gourmet dishes.

Founded in 1910 as the Imperial Tobacco Company of India Ltd, the company was renamed India Tobacco Company Ltd in 1970 and shortened to ITC Ltd in 1974. The hotel division debuted in 1975 with a property in Chennai and now operates more than 150 hotels under the ITC Hotels and Welcome Hotels brands.
