Israel pledges to prevent Iran’s nuclear weapons despite regional threats

Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, used his X account to explain why Iran has not yet launched a direct attack on Israel. According to Netanyahu, the fear of a massive Israeli retaliation is the main deterrent that keeps Tehran at bay.

He said that Iran’s aggressive behavior spans the Middle East and even reaches outside the region, yet Israel remains untouched because the Israeli defence establishment is prepared to respond with overwhelming force. Netanyahu affirmed that, while he remains in office, Israel will block any Iranian attempt to acquire nuclear weapons, calling the country’s existence a matter beyond any negotiation or deal.

The leader also highlighted Israel’s recent decisive actions in Lebanon, where security forces struck terrorist hideouts and disrupted rocket stockpiles. He underscored the ongoing joint effort with the Israeli Defence Forces to eliminate threats with both strength and prudence, and reiterated that Israel’s security is non‑negotiable.
