Israel’s Military Reports Elimination of Threatening Plotters in Gaza Strip

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed on Saturday that a covert strike in Gaza eliminated three suspects planning attacks on Israeli personnel and local populations. The announcement, posted on the army’s official X channel, cited the individuals as members of the Army of Islam and PIJ.

The raid, carried out in the Gaza City district, resulted in the deaths of Ala Imad Khamis Taramsi and Hassan Ibrahim Shahada Kahman. In a separate operation the previous week, the IDF also killed Ahmed Hadari, a fighter tied to Hamas' Jabalia Battalion, in the northern part of the strip.

According to the military, the three men were under surveillance for coordinating assaults that could endanger Israeli forces and civilians alike. Their removal, the IDF said, was a pre‑emptive measure to safeguard residents and maintain stability.

The operation follows statements from the United States that a historic agreement has been reached to fully disarm Hamas and orchestrate a phased Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, overseen by an international force of roughly 5,000 personnel under American command.
