Iran‑US MOU Seen as Diplomatic Victory for Tehran

TEHRAN, June 30 – President Masoud Pejshaeian told reporters that the peace Memorandum of Understanding signed with the United States reflects a coordinated effort involving Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and the Supreme National Security Council.

Speaking while touring Kermanshah, he stressed that each negotiation round was conducted under Iran’s broad policy umbrella, synchronized continuously with the Supreme Leader, and adhered to the nation’s legal framework.

The presidential office’s official release indicated that Iranian officials, mindful of security‑related limitations, vetted the final draft and secured the full vote of confidence from SNSC members.

Labeling the MOU a diplomatic achievement for the Iranian populace, Pejshaeian added that Tehran will not relinquish its people’s rights, foundational principles or strategic goals while moving toward a final settlement.
