Iran, Oman and the United States have been working on a provisional arrangement for maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi told reporters that the two regional partners are close to a temporary routing agreement, but the deal stalls as long as the United States does not honor the recent memorandum of understanding between Tehran and Muscat. Araghchi stressed that no fresh talks can resume until the U.S. halts its violations.
