Tehran is ramping up diplomatic pressure, with Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi appealing to the global community to hold aggressors accountable for supposed US-Israeli assaults on Iran. The plea surfaced in a Friday phone call with Germany’s Johann Wadephul, details of which emerged via Saturday media reports.

Tasnim News Agency highlighted Araghchi’s briefing on recent anti-Iran military actions. He called on countries worldwide to actively defend international law and UN Charter tenets, stressing responsible engagement.

Previous statements from Araghchi have lambasted the US for violating commitments. Per Mehr News, Iran conditionally accepted a ceasefire: cessation of conflict, damage reparations, and punishment for perpetrators. Labeling it a ‘responsible move,’ he seeks international recognition.

Wadephul backed war termination efforts, zeroing in on stopping Israeli operations in Lebanon. He pinned hopes on Iran-US talks slated for Islamabad, believing they could restore calm to the region.

Echoing these sentiments, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, heading Iran’s team in Pakistan, addressed reporters at Islamabad Airport. He recalled US duplicity, pointing to two strikes in under a year amid talks, despite Iran’s sincerity.

Ghalibaf didn’t mince words: ‘They attacked us during negotiations and perpetrated war crimes.’ This history fuels Iran’s current push for justice.

As delegations prepare for dialogue, the international stage is set for potential breakthroughs. Iran’s firm stance signals a refusal to let aggression go unpunished, potentially reshaping Middle East dynamics.
