Iran alleges attacks on US fuel tanks, helicopters and hangars in Jordan

Tehran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed that a series of coordinated assaults on Thursday struck U.S. logistical and aviation assets in Jordan. According to the IRGC, fuel depots supplying American bases were hit, causing massive fires, and a hangar used for helicopter repairs suffered severe damage after being set alight.

The same statement reiterated earlier claims that the THAAD and Patriot missile‑defence systems were destroyed, and a C‑RAM radar was neutralised. The IRGC framed these operations as a response to what it calls an unlawful American military presence that undermines Jordanian sovereignty.

Jordan has yet to comment publicly. The timing of the claim follows a report from the Kuwaiti armed forces that they intercepted hostile drones over their airspace, prompting their air‑defence systems to engage.
