International Silence on Syrian Wedding Tragedy Could Invite Consequences, Iran Says

The catastrophic strike on a wedding venue in Quneitra, Syria, that killed more than fifty civilians, has drawn sharp condemnation from Iran's foreign ministry.

Spokesperson Ismail Baghei warned that the silence of foreign governments and international institutions is not a neutral stance. He argued that turning a blind eye to such atrocities serves only to legitimize future attacks.

Baghei connected the event to a string of previous assaults on civilian sites in Minab, Lamerd, Kashan and elsewhere, noting that all share the same illegal motive.

He pledged that Iran will respond with firm measures against the perpetrators and called on the world to break the dangerous habit of accepting bombings as routine. The message was clear: inaction will not shield anyone from eventual accountability.
