Interim Implementation Removes Checkpoints at La Línea de la Concepción

Hundreds of residents from La Línea de la Concepción gathered at the border as officials played the EU anthem "Ode to Joy" and dismantled the checkpoint after midnight. Pedestrians, cars and motorcycles began crossing the frontier without routine identity checks, marking the first practical step of the agreement.
