The shooting occurred when Ehagaban went outside to investigate a dispute in the motel’s parking lot. According to reports, he was fatally shot at point-blank range on Friday. The accused, identified as 37-year-old Stanley Eugene West, has been charged with criminal homicide, attempted homicide, and reckless endangerment.
