Indian Maritime Workers' Protection Prioritized, Says Iranian Trade Envoy

Speaking at the Indian consular premises, Iran's senior commercial diplomat emphasized that the safety of Indian seafarers is a top priority for Tehran.

He outlined a series of precautionary steps taken by Iranian naval authorities, including heightened patrols near the Hormuz Strait and the issuance of real‑time threat alerts to Indian shipping companies. The envoy urged Indian crews to heed these warnings and limit movements in areas identified as conflict hotspots.

The counsellor reiterated that Iran's armed forces are directed to avoid civilian loss, even when engaging hostile elements, reflecting a policy of restrained use of force.
