Indian Forensic DNA Team Arrives in Kathmandu to Identify Victims

A 19‑member Indian forensic contingent began work in Kathmandu on Sunday. The team is tasked with analysing DNA samples collected from the disaster zone to help Nepalese authorities confirm the identities of the deceased. Ambassador Navin Shrivastava briefed the specialists, after which they met officials from the Central Forensic Science Laboratory of Nepal Police and the forensic department of Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.
