In response to the Phu Quoc boat disaster, the Indian Embassy in Vietnam has established dedicated control rooms at its missions in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. These centres serve as the single point of contact for families of the victims, offering real‑time updates, medical information and guidance on travel formalities.
Officials said the control rooms are equipped with crisis‑management teams that coordinate with the Vietnamese Coast Guard, local hospitals and the Ministry of Tourism. The embassy also activated a helpline to field queries from Indian nationals across the country and ensure that relief measures reach every affected individual promptly.
