Indian Air Force Deploys C‑130J with Emergency Kits to Nepal

The Indian Air Force launched a C‑130J mission on Wednesday, delivering ten tonnes of relief goods to flood‑hit areas of Nepal’s Rasuwa district after the Bhote Koshi river burst its banks. The cargo includes temporary housing materials, blankets, hygiene kits, solar lamps and vital medicines, as confirmed by Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar. Additional aid will be flown in using C‑17 aircraft, while helicopters are on standby for evacuation and rescue tasks. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking on social media, reaffirmed India’s commitment to stand with Nepal during this crisis. The Nepalese diplomatic mission in Delhi reported that many victims remain unaccounted for, prompting an intensified search and rescue operation.
