India’s Vision for a Re‑balanced Global Order Emphasizes Africa and Global South
During the event, the minister reflected on India’s broader vision for a fairer world order that places Africa and the Global South at its core. He cited the inclusion of the African Union in the G20 under India’s chairmanship as a concrete step toward amplifying the region’s voice on the global stage.
Jayashankar described a “re‑imagined” international system where development, progress and prosperity of African nations are actively supported. He outlined cooperation across trade, infrastructure, capacity building, humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, agriculture, health and clean energy.
According to him, a stronger, more capable India can act as a serious and impactful partner for African countries, delivering both investment and expertise.
The minister concluded by reaffirming India’s dedication to fostering a partnership that is not limited to today’s needs but is designed to serve generations to come.
