India‑US Trade Talks Continue, Both Sides Commit to Agreement
Senior officials from the United States and India have confirmed that discussions on the bilateral trade framework are moving forward without any major obstacles. In a press briefing, Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agrawal said that the negotiations are on schedule and that the deal will be signed at an appropriate time.
Agrawal highlighted that the emerging agreement will boost trade volumes, create new market opportunities, and reduce economic risks for both nations. He also noted that the United States remains a reliable source of energy imports for India, reinforcing the strategic dimension of the partnership.
Earlier this month, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal remarked that the talks have entered their final round, with most critical issues already settled. Both sides are now focusing on fine‑tuning language that will give Delhi a competitive edge in global markets.
The continued momentum signals a strong commitment from both governments to deepen economic cooperation.
