India sends third humanitarian airlift to Nepal after devastating floods

India’s Ministry of External Affairs confirmed the dispatch of a third special airlift from New Delhi to Kathmandu, carrying more than ten tonnes of humanitarian aid. The cargo includes portable generator sets, dignity kits, food packets and water‑purification tablets. Onboard the flight were an eleven‑person medical team of doctors and paramedics, as well as a rescue unit equipped for tunnel‑clearance operations. Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar underscored India’s commitment to speeding up relief efforts for the Himalayan neighbour, stating that the nation will maintain its support for Nepal’s ongoing rescue and rehabilitation activities.
