India Reopens Kabul Embassy; TAPI Project Gains Momentum

India has officially reinstated its full embassy operations in Kabul, signifying a robust re-engagement with Afghanistan. The Ministry of External Affairs emphasized that this step is designed to strengthen the long-standing friendly and cooperative relationship. Following this development, Afghanistan’s Deputy Prime Minister made a significant visit to the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project, urging accelerated progress and issuing directives to expedite construction. This vital energy corridor, once completed, is anticipated to be a transformative project for India’s energy security, ensuring a steady supply of gas to meet growing domestic demands and fuel industrial growth.
