India, Poland Push Investment and Tech Ties Toward 2030 Goal

India and Poland have set a shared ambition of doubling bilateral trade by 2030, while placing strong emphasis on investment and technology collaboration. The announcement came in a joint statement released after Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Thursday.

The two governments stressed the importance of signing, ratifying and implementing the India-European Union Free Trade Agreement (FTA) within a defined timeframe. Leaders believe the deal will broaden investment prospects, strengthen critical value chains and open access to new markets.

Modi extended an invitation to Polish companies to invest in India and grow their operations there. He highlighted the scale of the Indian market, the availability of skilled manpower, a rapidly expanding manufacturing sector and an innovation-oriented business environment.

Tusk commended Indian investment in Poland and described the country as a valuable base for Indian companies aiming to enter Central and Eastern Europe and the wider European market.

Agriculture was another area of agreement. The leaders decided to reactivate a bilateral working group to boost farm trade and technical cooperation.

The India-Poland Business Forum, attended by leading business figures and corporate representatives from both nations, was also welcomed. Industry players were urged to build partnerships in areas including industrial machinery, defence, infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, mining, critical minerals, energy and information and communication technology.

The leaders further focused on resilient supply chains, support for micro, small and medium enterprises, innovation-led growth and digital transformation as priorities for future engagement.
