The Immigration and Foreigners Bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha on 11 March. This bill passed in Lake Assembly on Thursday. According to the new law, if a person illegally brings, stays or settled a foreigner to the country, then he can be imprisoned for 3 years or a fine of 2 to 5 lakh rupees or both. Any foreigner will have a ‘legitimate passport and visa’ compulsory to come to India.
